Agreed, however viewing a surface and such an oblique angle means the amount of distortion and foreshortening is always going to be an issue, even with good reference photos

    Re: Junkers Ju 88 A and D

    Hi GFR!

pre.shading was too strong. Thank you. I noticed that I missed all the other weathering layers. Regarding the surface detail. An the Ju 88 wing not really many detals are visible. At the moment I add the main rivets, but more will not be possible.

I have a question to all Ju 88 experts. Did just the left wing had a aileron trim tab?

    Cheers, Simon

    Thank you Kakukk!

What do you mean? Do you mean in front of the undercarriage cover? This is oil dirt.

It is over the exhaust pipes.I think it looks more realistic if you make the oil dirt under the pipes, flowing down...
If you have got photos about your oil dirt it's ok.

You mean the dark thing from the pipe up to the wing? This are exhaust gases. Seen on many many Ju 88. It comes from starting cold engines on the ground.

    Here a good example: http://www.panzergeneral.de/images/ju88.jpg

Yeah, its the weathering detail that seems to be missing, its what I was referring to when I mentioned "surface detail" not so much rivets and access panels and such, which can be difficult to spot at this scale on such a large bird.

Look forward to seeing any changes you choose to make.
