The black looks fantastic, just the right amount of matte + ware and tear.
Turning into quite the epic thread.
Another close-up, perhaps?

Yes sir you did! But I made a dumb mistake, I thought I was looking at the last page but somehow ended up looking at the first pageI'm sure that's all bee taken car of
But don't worry Simon, I STILL think these are BEAUTIFUL!!!
Is the S nose really that flat?
FAST AND BULBOUS!
Thank you GFR and BH!
The black is really a tricky thing but I'm also happy with it. Great to know that you also like it. I will post some detail shots in future. At the moment I'm a little busy as I have a deadline to finish some profiles. One is a Ju88S-1 but with other camouflage.
BH, I'm also not 100% lucky with the nose. The problem is to find really good references. I think I will change it again.
Cheers, Simon
OH NO!!! Don't change it! I'm not familiar with the nose at all except for seeing photos of the plastic kit, and then only at a glance. I'm sure you've done the research...I can't even say I've seen a good photo of the S nose. I was just commenting because I was surprised by the metal ring at the center where the frame comes together...it gives a flat area at the tip. But it appears that it's correct. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/j...1/PC220013.jpg
FAST AND BULBOUS!
Hi BH, I have changed it and it looks much better now. I also found a significant error at the engine. This is now solved. More previews maybe today evening. I have to finish some other things first.
Cheers, Simon
Hi folks!
First preview of my Junkers Ju 88 G-1.
The fuselage is still from the left side, so many details are wrong. The propeller blades are also from the wrong side. The rest is 80% done. Have to finish the Ju88G-1 this week. I have to draw the MG131. Does anybody have good reference photogrpahs and drawings. Can't find anything in my books and google doesn't find good stuff.
Cheers, Simon
PS: Can please someone of the moderators change the topic title from "Junkers Ju 88 A and D" to "The Junkers Ju 88 Series"

Looks good Simon!
Perhaps lower the opacity of the aerial wires a good bit.
The shading of the rear fuselage seems to suggest a bit too much curvature perhaps, making it look rather bulbous. But these are nitpicks on what is a very solid profile.

Thank you Heli and Ronnie!
Ronnie, regarding the aerial wires, that's just a result of scaling down. At the full scale and in printed form they are perfect. Regarding the other thing, I'm really sorry, but because of my bad englsih I don't understand exactly what you mean. I have played a long time with definition of the fuselage, and as the A, C and G series had the same shape I let the light and shadows the same. Maybe someday I can rework, but as i have to finish a set of Ju 88 profiles in the next days, there is not much time for such changes. The camouflage of the Ju88G-1 that is waiting for me is just crazy and will take for sure some hours!
The most difficult thing is the shadow of the FUG220 antenna on the fuselage. I think impossible if you don't draw in 3D. At the moment I'm not really happy with the result.
Cheers, Simon
