Thanks gamary, me too. Dave is an absolute diamond, a real wealth on knowledge.

Just got your mail BH with thanks, very handy drawings for both the wheel spreaders and the props. I agree with you totally.

I'm onto the FW190 after this project by order of the Otterkins , but I will be looking at the D VII and some Albatros III's and V's.
Got to get some miles out of that Merc engine

D VII and some Albatros III's and V's
Uh oh, look out, I have my eyes on both of those two! And those, unlike the Dr.I have INFINITE detail variations!!!!

I think its about there with new wings/struts, new lighting and some other details, most things moved around a bit here and there, but I'm starting to think it looks more believable.

3 more testing schemes, can you spot the odd one out?

Looking forward to you finally getting serious with these.

    Re: Happy New Year

Very nice! And just look at Axial propeller!!!

So what's with the "odd one out" imaginary schemes? Even if imaginary, you probably wouldn't get the weight table on an over-painted plane...unless you were Hermann Göring
I'm not 100% certain, but I'm almost sure the serial and weights table on 425/17 would probably be almost completely obscured by the red paint. You might also what to show where the national insignia was repainted from old to new style.

Your improvements make an already great looking profile even better!!!

    Re: Happy New Year

Thanks guys and noted too BH.
I've done the wheel spreaders too but they were not fitted to these AC.

The VII and XXI are from the not so well received "flyboys" movie.
A mate asked if was possible, this was the result.

So here is one of the first more serious schemes, one I like very much.

I saw it a few months ago and wasn't thrilled either. Mostly a standard Hollywood production IMHO.

I prefer looking at your profiles. And I noticed the mud splatter on the rudder was modified. It's more convincing IMO.
