Supergood! The leather looks more than natural!![]()
Stunning work as always. The trees are particularly effective.
I understand that its a contentious subject around here, but I really think that you should place your watermark as (distracting as they can be)over at least part of the fuselage. It would be very easy for somebody to erase it from a white background and misrepresent it as theirs.
Thanks guys
I hear you GFR...but I just can'tMaybe some day I'll be able too

FAST AND BULBOUS!
Here's a little story. A while ago it was decided by my boss that watermarks might be a good idea for certain pieces of artwork that were to be released to certain individuals. I sent him one of Super's fine profiles from here to give an idea of the effectiveness of some types of watermark. The art director replied to the conversation a little while later with a version of Supah's profile devoid of any evidence that it once contained a watermark anywhere on it's surface. I studied it meticulously for evidence of tampering. None could be found. I suppose the moral of the story is if someone wants to remove a watermark they will do.![]()
Well, I think it has no sense: up to now the whole planet knows that the best/most detailed ww1 German stuff (especially Albatros series) artwork is made by Dave Douglass. Even if someone is stupid/dishonest enough to remove Dave's name, nobody would believe him anyway.
They really do not care about being recognised as the artist Mangas, that is not the thief's main priority nor their reason for stealing the artwork. They care about how much money they can make from selling prints via eBay or any other outlet.![]()
Im more concerned about us mere mortals, Anton.
But seriously, I'm more concerned with seeing my work being used uncredited elsewhere than duplication for profit. I'm not sure there is a lot of profit selling low-rez versions of my screen shots. Having said that I have seen my work taken from here and used in print before, hence the inclusion of the ridiculous watermarks.
Anyway...thread deserves more kudos for Dave.![]()
