Or for people who never got used to using a pen. Up to now I've done technical stuff on the computer, no real organic stuff. So it hasn't been an issue. But yes, I do need pressure for sure now. It's a BIG handicap not having it for a portrait!Mice are strictly for cats.
I guess you don't go back for enough, there was a time when the mouse was new, and there wasn't anything else...and a time before that with only keyboards and monotone screens. The first computer I ever played with was a brand new Tandy with a cassette drive and no mouse!I personally have NEVER used a mouse.

How about a hat?
I did those cockades as separate pieces to get the fine detail. I got a little out of hand though, they're almost as big as his head! I actually had to blur them out a bit, they were too sharp
The painted area you see hear is 930x677 pixels full size. I haven't worked out the scale yet but I think his head will end up being around 400 pixels high to match the Albatros profiles.
This has been fun so far although that hat took me about 3 hours and I already had the paths drawn out!
He still needs a little hair on his temples and eyebrows. I haven't figured out eyebrows yet![]()
FAST AND BULBOUS!
A little update, little considering that's about 12 hours of work and research there
I can't wait to see what this will look like with his Albatros behind him!
FAST AND BULBOUS!
Some great details there, Dave!
The details on the cap and the cloth render look superb.
I think the face needs some more work now, (a bit more contrast at the chiaroscuro?),
but I guess you'll be fine tunning things as new additions are made...

Is that a Harrier?![]()
Hey Elephant, I think the kind of adjustment you mention will need to wait until I've got the whole thing filled in. I'll need to pull everything together. But I'm kind of flying blind right now.
FAST AND BULBOUS!
The ring on the leg shows it's a replica. Not an actual Albatros.
