Nice. I like those shoes, good work there.
The lacing of the left shoe looks, to me, turned a bit farther around than the toe would indicate.
And one question... were the coat buttons leather (soft form)?

Well, I have to say that there is something in the feet that bothers me.
I see a weak point there...the figure is not standing properly, to my eyes.
Also I think a little bit more of the boot (ankle section) should be exposed
(the putties are far too low).

Now that adlabs and elephant have pointed it out, I cant help but look at his left foot, just looks too rotated form mine, as if it was in profile.
Shouldn't it be a copy past/flip/horizontal/edit light/shade of the right shoe, which looks about perfect?
Anyway...its still a beautiful piece of work, looking forward to seeing how it works with an aircraft profile.
Being really really picky (and I would expect you to do the same to me) his face looks a bit photoshopped. Yes I know it is anyway but you've added texture to the clothing to make it more realistic but the skin seems very smooth in comparison, would a noise or grunge layer above the face give more depth to the skin?
Otherwise bloody amazing work.
Harriers...uppy downy things.
Dave. You made a hell of the job there, man. I agree to others: the face really misses human skin pattern texture...
And, since the both feet are basically stand on the same imaginary line, I think they should reflect each other... So far it looks like he's having dislocation of the left foot... No offence, I just want you to see my point... Other than that-- amazing work! I've never seen someone who put that amount of efforts into this...![]()
Oh yeah, the shoes are all wrong, in my opinion you just can't see or view shoes this way. It just doesn't work pictorially! Not only that, but yes, the laces aren't right, those were the biggest guessed at part. I'm not sure what to do with them either, I tried several different approaches and this set was the only one that actually look like shoes. I guess I'll have to try again.
Higher puttees? I see that's probably right but I was depending on them to establish the ankles, I'm not sure how realistic those flat feet will look showing more boot.
Texture on the face? There's plenty of nice skin texture, done just like what I do all day on real people![]()
But I see the point, it needs to be l bigger and stronger, you can't see it at smaller sizes.
I agree Chris, it actually looks like REAL inks airbrushed with real friskit masks on cold press board! Just like the old days
His right eye still looks off but it matched the photo spot on...I might still fix it some.
Ad, as far as I can tell, the buttons on the cuffs and belt are leather covered buttons. The others are horn or something like that. Do they look too soft?
It seems like all the other coats of this kind had a belt buckle, not buttons.
I think the the part where the hand wraps around the gloves still needs some adjustments to the amount of dark area.
Did I get enough shine on the coat?

You know, I just now looked back. My mind "wants" to see some perspective when looking "down" at his shoes!
And when those odd times you can view shoes like this, my mind's eye sees me looking up at the guy's chin.
I only asked because they do have a soft look, rather than a wood or plastic. I can't say if they are "too soft" without any reference other than the photos. You match the photo pretty well, IMO.
ME TOO! I'm just pretty sure it wouldn't work with an aircraft profile!!! Maybe it's time to try a full perspective plane? My mind "wants" to see some perspective when looking "down" at his shoes!![]()
