    Messerchmitt Bf 109

It seems that I previously posted in the wrong section. Would it be possible to remove my previous 109G thread?

Here's the beginning of the work:
Name: WIP Bf 109G-6 port model.jpg

And a close-up of the tail section:
Name: WIP Bf 109G-6 port model tailwheel.jpg

The plan is very largely based on Otter's work, with a few modifications.

Comments and criticism are more than welcome as this a pretty challenging aircraft to depict!

?? Me no understand? I just made this one from scratch today. No cheating: no recuperation, no photo "inserts", no nothing. I even made sure to design it in such a way that I can change the colours of the leather cover, leg, tire and rim easily.

BTW, this is a Bf 109G-6. I had initially done the Beulen but wasn't happy with it so I killed it and decided to work on it later. So for the moment, it's an earlier Gustav.

Can we have another RLM discussion now as well please?

Oh, sorry. I though you pulled that from an earlier profile of yours. I guess I thought that because the rest was monotone and the wheel wasn't.
I just know I'm always happy when I have a wheel or machine gun or whatever already made and I don't have to do a new one

Its funny, I had exactly the same reaction when I saw this WIP. I guess its an indication of how familiar I had become with the details of the 109 through Otters work.

Looks to be a great start. Nice detail.

I've been tempted by the recent activity around here, to have a crack at my own version of the 109 using Otters drawings then I think of the inevitable RLM discussions and retreat to simpler fare.

For RLM colours I've concluded that as long as you are in the ball park your ok. Each factory produced different shades, each batch was also slightly different.

    Hey, gamary.
The details look great to me!
The only thing I'm not sure of is the rear of the elevator that looks too sharp (as razor...) Or am I getting it wrong?

I agree the Bf109E factory drawings are useless. Even though they look really detailed and nice. They are just there to give a visual guide to the measurements.
