    Re: Typhoon WIP

Put this one through its umpteenth revision(jeez I dont like the one posted above, now, way...way too dirty!) and Im looking to add the finishing touches by placing the stencils in appropriate places.

Can anybody help me with a stencil placement guide, I have a pretty good representation of the stencils but nothing useable when it comes to there placement.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Just spotted this comment for the first time:

Heck, my 109 is the longest and thickest (being 3D!):

Of course it's waiting for the comment now that it's only a "what if"...

As for stencil placement, maybe ask on the Hyperscale forums. One of them modellers is bound to have some useful kit instructions laying about.

Not what you asked for but I just remembered there was some stencil info here but it's for the Tempest.

I'm glad you posted again though, or I would have missed seeing this thread, I have loved the Typhoon ever since I read Roland Beamont's autobiography many years ago.
You have made a great job of representing this aircraft, have you done the car door version too by any chance?

Just thinking about Jesters comment on page 8 of this thread, he was making engine sounds as he looked at your work, Really, Napier Sabre engine noises?

that's a nice little site, might have to revisit my Tempest with the rest of the details. Agree that Beamont's book is a good one, while since I read it. Someone who should write a book is Tim Elkington, 1 Sqn with Hurricanes and later Typhoons but spent time in Russia in between.

    Re: Typhoon WIP

I've given this one a pretty heavy re-work, still have to finish from the 'fish plates' back, and convert it into a bubble top before I'm kinda happy.

Markings are temps, though there arent a lot of interesting Phoon schemes to draw, so any future versions arent going to look much different.

Looks nice! Only point of critique I might have at this point is that the bottom of the rear fuselage looks a bit too clean.
