    hi guys,

just stepping up to the plate in defence of GFR.

you are wrong about the length of the prop shadow, and BH you are partially correct, but they only need blurring a little bit,

images below to back up what i say. and i can produce a lot more if they are needed

    Re: Typhoon WIP

IMO the shadow gives extra depth to the drawing and looks good. I agree with Blowhard's comment (and also with John's comment on BH's comment ).

However, you should make it straighter. Look at the photos posted by John. The shadow stays relatively straight. Your effect is too strong IMO and spoils the drawing.

Yes, but patience is a virtue.

I'm just putting the finishing touches to a re-worked version of this profile, and I'm looking for images of early Ib's with the white identifying marks on the nose, either all white or the horizontal stripe will do.

Also I have been unable to find a decent image of the fabric on the tail looks, any help, as usual will be appreciated.

oh...yeah, always on the look out for out of the ordinary Typhoon paint schemes if anybody has some on file.

Ferk me, this profile is rising 3 years old, I think I better finish it real soon!

    Beuller...Beuller?

Alright, now this isn't exactly finished as I need to recreate 'accurate' unit/serial numbers, but they're going to have to do for now.

From this template I can now illustrate just about every variation/armament combo that there is for the 'phoon.

Time to move on, but I shall return!

    Looks superb GFR!

I think the bumpy surface is a little bit overdone, when you compare with the photographs above.

    Re: Typhoon WIP

I rather like the effect that Simon has mentioned, but you might want to reduce it a bit indeed. Especially on the canvas-covered rudder.

Aside from that, I really like it. But then, I'm always impressed by your profiles so I could just say "Nothing unusual".

    What are you waiting for?

This is fantastic work, I'm going to nick that bottom prop lighting
I'm making engine sounds as I'm looking on, so it must be good right?

You guys are probably right, I've toned it down a little. I was much less obvious when displayed against a white background.

Aside from toning down the battering as noted, I think is one really good looking profile!!!

Gamary, is there any particular area that you think could use further shape definition?

    Wow! Amazing!
