I have recently finished of profile(actually two...but I digress) of 44-13954 DA QUAKE and cant for the life of me decide whether it has a yellow stripe with red writing or a red stripe with yellow writing, I tend to go with the former, most everybody else seems to go with the later. FWIW I prefer the red stripped version, but for the sake of accuracy...
Anybody care to opine on the matter?
Sorry I dont have any images at hand, but if you care, you know where to find one.![]()

Stripe seems to match yellow prop tips and checkers. Text is darker. So I'd say yellow stripe, red text.

I think someplace in this thread I mentioned that I wanted to create profiles of each of the 'Bottisham Four' and there are no doubt quite a few early incarnations also to be found in this thread. Though I dont want to see 'em.
I would like to know if there was an 'official' shade, or hear if anybody has an opinion of what shade of yellow was used either?
I to swing between a bright yellow, and a slightly orange yellow. Personally I prefer the later, but its not really about me.
Looking at the well know images, a case can be made both ways.![]()
hi GFR,
you will find it is standard US insignia yellow, just check any chart for the exact colour![]()
JMSmith (back by popular demand)
Of course it is. Makes perfect sense.
Don't know what I was/wasn't thinking. Doh!
In my defence I've had a hell of a week.
cheers.![]()
Yeah...Yeah. I know. More Mustangs. Boring!
Re-worked 'Miss'.
More to come...
Can one of you Mods change the stoopid name of this thread for me? 'Cos I don't think I'll ever finish this.
