Gimp's not too bad, it can be a bit crashy and slow but the price is right!

Here's where I'm up to at the moment. I've had a hard time finding decent walkarounds of the real deal. The two sets of plans I'm using have the panel lines in different places so I'm kind of improvising a bit.

Try this did mention it but some good shots here which will help no end even though most of the photos are of the starboard there are some port shots but there aren't many differences between the sides tbh.

Still need to soften out the highlights a bit more, the finish you're going with is currently looking like a satin finish but apart from the pre-Falklands two colour (which was high gloss) they're all matt.

We have one of a GR.9 I shot in our gallery here but I don't know how many similarities there are, knowing Murphy's law and such there probably are none

Hmm not strictly true, they use the same tyres iirc, but that is it really, similar configuration for a lot of parts in almost the same place but the SHar is based on the old Kestrel/GR1 airframe where as the GR9 is the revised Harrier II airframe.

Thanks for the link Inkworm, those pictures are really handy!

Here's another update. The forward nozzle didn't look right to me, so I've made it a bit skinnier. I don't know about the shadow under it though, it sort of looks like it's floating.

Its really beginning to look nice Chris Always liked the look of these earlier Harriers, too bad they turned ugly after a while.

Thanks Supah! This may make me unpopular, but I actually liked the look of the FA2. To me it looks like it means business, while the FRS1 looks sort of "cute".

CAN ONE OF THE MODERATORS DO THEIR JOB AND BAN CHRIS NOW????

The FRS2 looks like it's flown into something and got a swollen nose, plus the shade of grey they use...disgusting shows up all the oil and dirt, not like that dark grey that they wore when they were earning their spurs over the Southern Atlantic.
