Coming along, filling in the details now.
Well that injected a bit of controversy. Time for another progress update. I've done some work on the tail, as well as adding some of the smaller details. Let me know what you think.
Coming along, filling in the details now.
This is coming along fine ! I think however you should increase the intensity of your highlights. Teh intake is almost blending in with the fuselage
good job
Hi Christopher.
You've chosen a very complex form here and you're doing a good job of it.
My impression of your intake/nose shading is that the intake almost looks recessed into the fuselage. If you put a hint of shading in front of the intake, and lighten off the intake itself slightly, it should give the impression of the intake being in front. I apply this theory whenever I have one object in front of another. It usually doesn't take much. Sometimes even a couple of passes at 2% black will do the trick, it's just enough to trick the eye.
This example is a quick-sloppy job with no regard for the actual intake shape, I've just done it to demonstrate the theory.
I hope this helps.
Grubby.
Thanks for the feedback guys!
Grubby, makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate that theory on my drawing, much appreciated! It helps a great deal.
Chris
I'd bring back up the opacity of the panel lines just a bit, almost too faint to really be visible at the moment.
Harriers...uppy downy things.
Thanks for the suggestions, I think it looks much better now. I've also started filling in some of the started filling in some of the stencils, and added the ejector seat. Oh, and I thought it was time to paint it dark sea grey!
Still need to bring up the highlights and the tail fin looks to flat, from the top it isn't flat but tapers back, plus the entire lower fin should be in shadow. Getting there but time for the nit picking to start!![]()
