Yep, they are a nice contrast. You'll notice the beginning work of a scratch built Farr air grille along the cab, but it will not be finished. The scale appearance just doesn't cut it, so this will be replaced with another idea on how to build these.
Also, there's a new wood display base in this pic. It's 1/4" thinner (1/2" material) to allow better head room and visibility in the plastic display case.

That looks great! Maybe an orange/rust wash to get that sunset hue in the photographs?
