very nice
I'm curious here Simon. From your drawing it is difficult to tell if the fill in the Balkenkreuz is black, grey...or even green! Do you know which was actually used? Typicaly an awsome drawing by you. Only comment I can make on the painting is that I think you need to pop the supercharger intake out from the fuselage a bit more. Tough with this kind of colour scheme I know. Also, check the length of the cowl MG's. I drew mine too long. Only flaws I can spot.

Thank you folks!
@Otter, the filling is RLM 83 green. Regarding the supercharger intake I have to agree, but it's just because of the dark underside of it. Normally it was painted RLM 76. Thank you also for the hint regarding the MG! Will change that next.
In the meantime a detail shot.
Cheers,
bloody hell simon,
close up it looks even betternice touch with the temp yellow on the cowl with the ragged edge

Very nice indeed!![]()
As much as I like(a great deal) this (and Jester's) 109, there is something that is really bugging me about them. Nobody seems to represent the way the wing leading edge actually has a fairing that blends the wing and fuselage smoothly.
I know its a small and pedantic point, but if you are going to go to the amount of effort that you obviously have, IMHO you (guys) really should go that extra step, and illustrate the fairing as it appears in reality.
I'm certainly no experten, but ever image that I have of the 109, shows a fairing.
I did say its subtle, but its certainly there.
I think that its worth illustrating, if you go to as much trouble as you guys have.
I guess, I'll just have to throw my hat into the 109 ring now. Oh... the pain.![]()
