Re: Heinkel He 100 What If

This one's a bit of a "what if" but the actual He 100s purchased by the IJN may have been tested in a scheme very much like this.

And here's a profile of the prototype from Hitachi as the IJN intended to have it produced.

Looks very nice! Are you going to add some weathering? Just a little? And some contrast to random panel lines for effect?

Re: Heinkel He 100 What If

Thanks, Mangas! These are both prototypes at testing facilities, so there's no significant weathering on them for that reason. Future aircraft stationed at far flung fields in the Pacific will see far more weathering!

Those are COOL! Very interesting! But I was expecting something else attached to them I guess you're still working on that?

Indeed. It can't just come from nowhere. These things have to develop naturally.

Logan, I've just noted 1 thing... The curved highlight white line on the top of the tail is quite thick so it gives the wrong illusion: actually, the tail is not that thick... At least on the top...

    Hi Logan,

to your beautiful drawings of He 100 bothers me somewhat.

The rudder seems to me like inflated ... like a balloon.
The flare is just as strong as on the hood.
I mean, that you should correct.

    Bye
