    Re: Spitfire

It's starting to look real good! In my opinion the highlight layers are desaturating and bleaching the camo a little too much. On my profiles I use either the overlay or luminosity option on my highlightlayers so that a little more color is seen through the highlight without losing the shape. Sometimes I double my highlight layers so that I have one layer on "normal" and one on "overlay". It takes a little experimenting to get right...

I'm glad you like it. I also noticed that effect but I'm not doing much about it yet as I am mostly waiting for a more definitive camouflage. Trying to improve my technique, I find that I often will modify the lighting for every new drawing I make. Some colours need more light to bring out the shape than others, hence that choice. I don't think using a generic light layer/group for all aircraft is useful.

I will probably modify it a little for the moment anyway, and do the rest of it when I actually produce the first Spit.

Looking good! I like the matteness (probably not a real word, but you know what I mean) Its somethging that I have been trying to work into my profiles as well. I you're going for a matte appearance the highlight forward could do with a bit of refinement.

Here's another update. The wing has been imporved, largely thanks to Blowhard's expert advice. Thanks a 1,000,000, BH!
