I'm not sure if I've got all the D.V specific details right on this one yet.

    Oh, great addition!
Just look at the pic below...
Notice that the nose planks arrengement seems to be D.III style, in this plane.

Yeah, I noticed that just as I was finishing (I thought) the profile. No idea what's going on there At first I though it was a weird set of shadows caused by the rigging. Then I thought it had 2 different datum lines like how I painted them.
WEIRDNESS! I'll have to decide if I want to do that or find another factory plane to profile. Nice catch Elephant

The ice is getting thinner and thinner!
Jim Miller set me straight with numerous details including a BIG engine change! (THANKS JIM!)
And the wood paneling that Elephant pointed out is indeed a feature of early D.Vs.
    Here is the update.

    Re: Albatros D series

I will confess I'm struggling to spot the differences now but she is looking good, only concerns I have is the upper wing, looks a bit glossy and even with the light at the angle you're showing it the upper surface should be lighter than it currently is.

    Re: Albatros D series

I believe that the dark color in b/w photo is the mauve and the green is the lighter one...
If so, the camo combo was right on the previous WiP shot...
