Re: Albatros D series
I have seen your color guesses...
As a matter of fact I'm asking for a friend who is making some skins for Rise of Flight, sim.
You may know him from here as well, Graf.
His own approximations are close to your old Targetware ones.
I have seen your D.II example with Rufe's chips applied on and it looked to me, rather bold and the light green had a light blue hue!
On the other hand these colors bare me in mind reading in Windsock Special on D.III, a description of a captured Jasta Boelcke machine, (D.796/17, G39 for the Brits), in May '17, that stated that the upper wings were painted green and light blue and the under surfaces light blue.
I know about the April Idflieg change of orders about the restriction of the use of the reddish brown on the camo.
DSA in The Aerodrome suggested that some field units applied on the field, light green on the reddish brown areas, in order to meet the Idflieg requirements.
Could be the case and the freshly applied light green had a light bluish hue and was mistakenly thought to be light blue by the ignorant captors?
My head aches!

Re: Albatros D series
Ok...did I get everything?

What a lot of little details! Every time I finished one little bit there was something else to add!
This is Stropp as I'm imagining it looked sometime after it got to the front.
Next I need numerous detail changes to make other D.Vas, it seems that this one has a detail or two that most others don't have.
FAST AND BULBOUS!
